We tailor internships based on availability and project needs. Some interns work a few hours remotely each week; others engage more intensively in on-site programs. You’ll be able to share your preferences when filling out the application form.

Internship Roles in Trauma-Informed Wellness, Community Outreach & Nonprofit Operations

Interns may contribute in one or more of the following areas, depending on their background, interests, and current program needs. All roles support our mission of healing, dignity, and empowerment for marginalized women and children.

What You Need to Join Our Team

To ensure a meaningful and supportive internship experience, we ask candidates to meet the following requirements:

  • To ensure maturity, responsibility, and readiness for trauma-informed environments.

  • Ability to commit at least 3–6 months, with flexible hours depending on the role and project needs.

  • Willingness to work remotely or on-site in Oslo or Lebanon, depending on the internship position.

  • Enrollment in or completion of studies in social work, psychology, public health, international development, communications, or related fields is preferred.

  • Commitment to feminist, trauma-informed, and culturally respectful approaches that prioritize dignity, inclusion, and social justice.

  • Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills (Norwegian, Arabic) are an asset depending on the role.

  • For roles involving vulnerable populations, a valid police certificate (vandelssattest) may be requested, and we will assist you with the process.

  • A genuine interest in community healing, refugee support, and grassroots humanitarian work.

Internship Roles We’re Looking For:

Trauma-Informed Yoga & Wellness Support

Assist in the coordination or facilitation of gentle, inclusive yoga and mindfulness sessions that promote mental health, body awareness, and emotional resilience for women from refugee or minority backgrounds.

Child-Friendly Spaces & Family Support

Help create safe, caring environments for children while their mothers attend sessions. Support play, rest, and learning in ways that honor diverse cultural backgrounds and trauma-informed practices.

Communications, Storytelling & Social Media

Contribute to digital content, interviews, or visual storytelling that highlights women’s voices and community healing — always with respect, ethics, and dignity at the core.

Event Planning & Community Engagement

Support the coordination of community gatherings, wellness workshops, or awareness events — including logistics, outreach, and hospitality to create welcoming and inclusive experiences.

Research & Project Documentation

Assist in gathering data, writing reports, or documenting impact — helping us improve our programs and communicate clearly with funders, partners, and the public.

Program Administration & Coordination

Support behind-the-scenes tasks such as scheduling, resource management, and internal communications to ensure our programs run smoothly and stay community-centered.
