Khadija’s Story

A Safe Space to Smile Again

Khadija, originally from Palestine, now lives in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley with her young son. Life in displacement brings many unknowns — but when she walks through the doors of our Women’s Center, Khadija brings something powerful with her: joy.

Her presence lifts the room during every art, yoga, and awareness session. With warmth and laughter, she reminds others — and herself — that healing doesn’t always look quiet. Sometimes it dances.

“I feel happy and safe at the center. One of my favorite memories from there is celebrating Women’s Day — we had cake, danced, and felt seen for who we are.” — says Khadija.
